Introduction

The Taipei night will be made dazzling and bright on August 18 with this annual feast of fireworks. The focus of this year’s festival is Taiwan folk song. At 4:30 that afternoon is a street-performer show, and a kiosk area opens selling snack treats and cultural-creative items. At 6:30 there will be a music show on the main stage featuring a parade of singers. Following this at 8:30 is the big event, the high-altitude pyrotechnics show, this year for the first time being set off from a rectangle of launch-points, the points, lines, and geometric figures creating a 3D effect.
