As a way of saying thanks to moms for their hard work, Taipei Expo Park has introduced a series of activities in May at Xinsheng Park, hoping to give mothers an unforgettable Mother’s Day.
Between May 10 and 23, individuals visiting the Pavilion of Dreams will be eligible to enter a raffle with top prizes such as a set meal for two, prepared by Michelin starred chef Igor Macchia at Grand Victoria Hotel (worth NT$5,500). The winner will be able to join his/her mom during tea time and learn the secrets behind the success of the chef.
In addition, a three-legged fun race will take place at Garden of Dreams on May 12 and 13, with the intention of strengthening parent-child bonds. On the same weekend, visitors at the Pavilion of Dreams who can say out loud “Mommy I love you” and kiss their mom at the gate will receive a set of postcards bearing the pictures of the pavilion.
For Pavilion of Future visitors, they can sign up for activities simply by producing their ticket stubs. They can choose from the following: plant tour (11 AM-noon, May 12), pressed flower card DIY session (2 PM-4:30 PM, May 12), and family games (2 PM-4:30 PM, May 13).
At the Pavilion of Angel Life, moms enjoy free admission on May 12 and 13. They are also invited to take a picture at Herbal Garden; they can upload the photos to the fan page on Facebook in exchange for a rose card.
Last but not least, those visiting Pavilion of Taipei and dressed the same as their mom on the days of May 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27 can bring home a special gift; however, they must take a picture of themselves hugging their mom at the interactive section first. The number of gifts to be given away on each of the designated day is limited to 30. Hurry before stock runs out!
